You can be a part of the Wallace's ministry to children
Updated Feb 2012
Jerry and Bonnie are faith missionaries, and as such, must raise their own support. They are not funded by any organization or are on any payrol. It it through the generosity of God's people that they travel and do their ministry. Jerry and Bonnie trust God to touch the hearts of individuals to give and become partners in prayer. They also look to churches to consider placing them on their church missions budget.
Thank you as always to those of you who continue to support Jerry and Bonnie financially. They need your help year round. If you have the means to become a regular contributor, or if you would like to make a one time donation, please print the accompanying form, and mail it to the address shown at the top. Summer Report
How we praise God for all the children that came to Him,
this last summer! We have memories of a boy with his
hands held out in worship, of a group of girls saying,
“We want to stand to worship God. We feel it’s more
respectful”, of children following along in their Bible
during the teaching of the Word, and most precious
of all, seeing them bow their heads as they prayed,
opening their hearts to our Lord.
In the middle of our summer travels, Melody had a breakdown and ended up in the hospital. We wondered what to do, but were encouraged to carry on, and at our first appointment wrote, “I was amazed at the grace of the Lord, helping us minister this morning! In the midst of our sorrow concerning Melody, we were able to preach, sing and exhort with freedom and joy. “ (p.s. Melody is making progress - we still look to Jesus for full restoration.)
The following quote from my journal sums up the kind of joy we experienced in our VBS programs at Napanee and Brighton Ontario and Wakefield, Quebec.
“Our week at Napanee is coming to a close. Tonight is our last night - it has gone so quickly! I praise God for the children I have been able to counsel in the prayer room. Some of the comments have been: “I want to listen to God”, “Jesus made my heart clean”, “I don’t know why I came” (I believe she was drawn by the presence of the Holy Spirit)”
We were invited by the Greater Napanee Christian Ministerial Association to be a part of their two day evangelistic outreach with apologist and author Josh McDowell. It was a privilege to sit down with him and share travelling stories. We ministered to the children in three sessions as Josh spoke to the adults. Our theme was John 14.6 using some of Josh’s apologetic teaching from his book Evidence That Demands a Verdict. What a thrill it was to see the children getting excited about the truth.
Our First DVD
We were able to reproduce the video segments we taped at Crossroads Communications for their children’s TV show “Truth Quake” also known as “TQ” through a generous gift from Bonnie’s grandparent’s will. Children sit with eyes round as saucers as Jerry paints with his airbrush some of his classic stories like: Prince the run-away Pony and Dusty the Bully dog. The DVD is also a great ministry tool for Christian Education workers as it has Bonnie singing her sing along favourites with the words on the screen.
The funds from the sale of these products is being set aside for a overseas mission trip to minister to children.
A NEW TRAILER
We had been praying for a trailer that could handle our long distance bookings and through the gift of one of our supporters we were able to purchase this new durable one. Because of this, we were able to bless a local Christian singing family with our first trailer who had also been praying for one.
Jerry led a morning Bible study on Joseph. One man said, “You made this story come alive”! I had the privilege of being song leader. Three days into the camp, I thought I was going to lose my voice, but Jesus gave me strength. In fact, I wrote, “Sometimes when you sing, you don’t feel much, you just do your job. Other times, it feels as though heaven is lifting you on eagle’s wings and you would just have to reach out your hand and touch heaven’s portals. Last night was one of those nights. Lord, how close You were!”
Perhaps you have not heard of the new mission term
“The 4-14 Window”. In 1990, missionary strategist,
Luis Bush, coined the term “The 10/40 Window”
referring to those regions of the eastern
hemisphere located between 10 and 40 degrees
north of the equator. This new term also coined
by Mr. Bush refers, not to a geographic frame
but a demographic one. The ten years of a person’s
life between the ages of 4 and 14.
In his booklet he says “It’s a plea to open your heart and mind to the idea of reaching and raising up a generation from within that vast group…”
The 4-14 window is just as crucial now as it was when Bonnie and I started this ministry. We still believe children that hear about a Saviour that died for their sins and rose again can invite Him into their lives and will be made new creatures in Christ.
Recently I met a mother who told me her son came to Christ at the age of 7 through our ministry. That was 15 years ago. To God be all the glory!
We thank you, our partners, who have helped us with your prayers and giving to help us reach those in “The 4-14 Window” for 32 years. Jerry

Young People eager to serve God
Zachery VanNoppen and John Steele joined our ministry team for two weeks at Galilean Bible Camp in the north at Blind River, Ontario. Their enthusiasm and love for the Lord was contagious. They helped us carry equipment, shared the Word using object lessons and led the kids in our special game time. They made us laugh and appreciate the youth of our land.
